Cyclone Ballparks welcomes the Pecos community to its Grand Opening

(Pecos, TX) October 4, 2021 – The newest destination for elite baseball and softball events in West Texas, Cyclone Ballparks, officially opened its ‘doors’ on August 28th of this year. With a celebration, Cyclone Ballparks, operated by Sports Facilities Management welcomed families, players, and city dignitaries to a celebration at the ballpark. Now officially open, the complex has hosted more than 150 teams and their families for baseball tournaments and other events and has a packed schedule for the remainder of the year including their first concert, the Texas Tejano Showcase on October 23rd, where they will feature Pecos’ Top performers of Tejano.

The keys to Cyclone Ballparks were gifted to Pecos Mayor, David Flores by the facility’s General Manager, Cathy Garcia. He was chosen to throw the first pitch at the Championship Field to officiate the opening ceremony and welcomed guests to enjoy all that Cyclone Ballparks has to offer. “This is an exciting time for the Pecos Community, having this new facility will allow us to showcase the people of our town. It was an honor to throw the first pitch. It made me feel like a young player again. Can’t wait to see all the ballplayers do the same here at Cyclone!” shared the Mayor.

With excitement in her eyes, Garcia, said “I look forward to bringing out the best of what our team will be able to provide to the young athletes and parents that will enjoy an exhilarating time at our facility. It was an honor to see this come together for our community.”

Holly Jarocki, Director of the project also shared in the excitement. “Seeing the community enjoying the Ballpark the way it was intended, brings joy to my heart and a sense of fulfillment. I’m looking forward to watching many games being played on our fields,” said Jarocki.

“We operate amazing complexes across the country, and we are confident Cyclone will be a success. The leadership in the Town of Pecos City is investing in the future of the community through sports”. Added John Gullion, SFC Account Executive.
